i was gone!!!!!
daniel is more usefull becuase he can translate more then carter can which got them out of humpteen thousand problems, he figured out where the 8th symbol is for the s-gate kinda important considering its needed to open the s-gate, and hes like errr a genious.(not that carter isnt to)

jack randomly selected wires and got lucky, as usual. but im nonel the less happy they didnt blow up. still the bomb and the earth solar system would have gone off if not for carter, and that instance had nothing to do with daniel other than he was there.

I have to agree with Lebanin on this one. Carter gets lucky by accident usualy (no suprise) and Daniel is a better translater.

Daniel's good points:
Figured out how to make the Stargate work, discovered it was able to go to multiple worlds, discovered that the Aschen (SP?) where going to wipeout earth by sterilizing the population, translated for O'Neill when he had the library of the Ancients' downloaded into his head (both times), delayed Replicater Carter long enough for Jacob and Sam to wipeout the Replicaters, figured out the gate address to Atlantis (that right there makes him the winner IMO), Ascended, and he brings up the moral implications of not only SG1's actions but that of the SGC.
